Manchester City’s website accidentally posted a video of 23-year old central defender Eliaquim Mangala completing his multi-million pound switch to the Etihad despite his deal still being finalised.

The Daily Mirror reports that an authorised person in charge of the Citizens’ website jumped the gun posting a clip showing the Frenchman undergoing his medical and giving his first interview as a Citizen, before it was eventually deleted.

The deal is still facing several complications due to the third party ownership of Mangala, who apparently said in his interview, “I am here to help the team to win titles: the league, the cup and the Champions League.”

Manchester City have long been in talks with Porto and Mangala over the transfer as their boss Manuel Pellegrini wants the youngster to partner his skipper Vincent Kompany at Man City. Although the English champions are well on their way to finalising the deal by resolving the complications, there could still be a slight chance that the transfer of the young French defender might fall through – leaving the English champions with egg on their face after the online slip up.
