Liverpool stars Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson recently did a very short shift behind the counter at a Subway sandwich shop as a part of a publicity stunt in New York.
An internet visionary has decided to use a picture of the pair in Subway work clothes to compare them to Pulp Fiction hitmen Jules and Vincent, played by actors Samuel L. Jackson and John Travolta.
The likeness is not immediately striking, although both players have somewhat similar hair to their fictional counterparts.
Sturridge is also drinking a ” tasty beverage” in the picture, just as Jules does in the 1994 classic, before he recites a long biblical quote and shoots some people who have neglected to repay a debt to his boss.
Liverpool’s top striker was impressed by the picture, reposting it to his Instagram account, along with the message: “great banter!”
