Manchester City have continued their pre-season preparations with a thumping win against Milan in Pittsburgh, with City running out 5-1 winners in a match that was delayed due to a storm.
From the first whistle Manuel Pellerini’s side took control, with Stevan Jovetic giving them the lead when he neatly struck from twelve yards. Forgotten man Scott Sinclair quickly doubled the lead with another neat finish, putting City firmly in control.
A Jesus Navas bicycle kick and fine finish from teenage striker Kelechi Iheanacho saw City take a 4-0 lead inside half an hour, although Pippo Inzaghi’s poor Milan side did pull one back when Sulley Muntari tapped home from a corner.
Pellegrini’s men had the last laugh, however, with Jovetic rounding off a fine individual performance with his second goal if the night after the break.
