The Saints say the duo are not for sale.
Despite Southampton having allowed five players to leave the club this summer, chairman Ralph Krueger has issued a hands off warning for Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur targets Morgan Schneiderlin and Jay Rodriguez.

The Metro reported that Gunners manager Arsene Wenger viewed Schneiderlin as the ideal player to come in and be the defensive midfielder that the 64-year-old craves in the middle of the park for his side.
However, according to reports in the Daily Express new Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino was going to use his links at St Mary’s to complete a double swoop for both the Frenchman and Rodriguez.
Yet Krueger has now issued a hands off warning to anyone club looking to sign the pair and will help allay the fears of Saints fans who have watched some of their best players leave this summer.
So far Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren have been sold to Liverpool, Luke Shaw has joined Manchester United and Calum Chambers was signed by Wenger.
However, Krueger has now promised that the selling at the club has been concluded – with £92m received for the five sales – and now new manager Ronald Koeman can start building his team with new signings.
