Dzeko happy at the club after a successful last season.

Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko has said that he is happy with life at the Etihad Stadium, and is negotiating a new deal with the English champions.

The 28-year old was rather disgruntled at the club before last season, but he was a regular under Manuel Pellegrini last term and scored 26 goals in 46 appearances for the Citizens, helping them to win the Premier League and Capital One Cup.

Rumours of him potentially moving back to Germany have subsided as he is now among Pellegrini’s priority strikers at City.

Dzeko’s current deal at the club expires next summer, but it seems like only matter of time before the Bosnian pens down a new contract.

“I can only say that I’m very happy at City and at the moment we are talking about a contract,” the forward was quoted by the Daily Mail.

“We will see what happens but the main thing is I’m happy at City.”

The Bosnian striker was the second highest goalscorer for City last term, and has attracted interest from the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Arsenal in the past.
