Aspas has joined Sevilla on a season-long loan and claims, despite being there less than a week, he already prefers life in Spain.

However, the Reds have recently been linked with a £20m move for his new teammate Alberto Moreno in recent weeks as boss Brendan Rodgers looks to boost competition for places in his left-back slot.

But Aspas believes that Moreno would struggle to make the same impact at Anfield as he would in Andalusia, and has carried a warning to the young Spanish international.

“Alberto Moreno would never feel like he does in Sevilla at Liverpool,” he said.

“I’ve been here for three or four days. Now that I belong to Sevilla, I prefer he stays here.”

Aspas has been rather vocal since making his exit from the Premier League side having previously claimed that FIFA treated striker Luis Suarez like a murderer following his bite on Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini.

Aspas said: “There are murderers who pay less [for what they have done]. To not let him be presented [by Barcelona], to train or to enter the stadium is too much.”

The 26-year-old played just a handful of games for the Reds last term, scoring only once, and he now has the option of making his loan move a permanent one at the end of the season.
