Paris Saint-Germain could look to dodge the issue of Financial Fair Play by offering a tempting swap deal to Real Madrid in their attempts to sign Angel Di Maria, according to Fichajes.net.

The French champions will hope to lower Di Maria’s hefty transfer fee with the offer of Italian midfield starlet Marco Verratti in return, with the talented 21-year-old previously emerging as a target for the Spanish giants.

Real’s Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti is known to be a fan of his fellow countryman, and is also willing to allow Argentine star Di Maria to leave the Bernabeu this summer despite his fine performances for the club in their double-winning campaign last season.

The 26-year-old’s fine form has also seen him become a target for Manchester United, with Real’s signing of James Rodriguez seemingly putting an end to his career in the Spanish capital.

United have also been linked with Verratti in the past, but could miss out on two potential targets in one move here if PSG and Real can come to an agreement over the exchange deal of the two players.

With Di Maria valued at around £55m, PSG are cautious about spending that amount as they would face another possible penalty from Uefa for breaching Financial Fair Play regulations.
