Chelsea are aiming to offload long-serving goalkeeper Petr Cech this summer as they plot a move for Real Madrid’s Diego Lopez, according to Marca.

The Blues may be ready to make Thibaut Courtois their number one this season, and as such will be prepared to let the experienced Cech leave the club for Paris Saint-Germain, as he is unlikely to be content with sitting on the bench after so long as the undisputed first choice at Stamford Bridge.

This would then see Chelsea move for Lopez, who has long been the backup keeper at Madrid, though he has been in the first-team picture more often in recent times after Mourinho first dropped Iker Casillas during his time in charge at the Bernabeu.

Although Casillas’ form remains a concern, it seems that Real are looking to bring in Costa Rica World Cup goalkeeper Keylor Navas from Levante to be their new number one, with Lopez set to leave the club.

Chelsea will now be ready to pounce for the veteran Spaniard, who would be good cover for Courtois and a nice option to have in the squad if the Belgian youngster gets injured or out of form.
