United receive major transfer boost.
Manchester United may have received a major boost in their pursuit of Juventus star Arturo Vidal, with a top agent with close links to the club saying he expects the player to leave, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Chilean international has been one of the best players in Serie A for some time now, and has long been linked with a big-money move to Old Trafford after catching the eye of manager Louis van Gaal.
The 27-year-old, valued at over £40m, could be joined out of the exit door by his midfield partner Paul Pogba, with agent Andrea D’Amico revealing that he is almost ‘certain’ that one of them will leave Turin this summer.
The agent has close ties with Juventus as he represents another of the club’s players, Sebastian Giovinco, and this news will come as a welcome boost for United as they hope to tie up a superb deal for this fine midfield talent.
“Vidal and Pogba? One of the two will leave,” he said. “I’ll go a step further I’m convinced Vidal will certainly leave.”
United have already spent big on the likes of Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw this summer, whilst missing out on an ambitious target in Toni Kroos, who instead joined Real Madrid after deciding to leave Bayern Munich.
