Real Madrid are keeping an eye on Petr Cech’s situation at Chelsea, with the Daily Telegraph reporting that Jose Mourinho is set to make youngster Thibaut Courtois his new number one this season.

The long-serving Czech Republic international has been the undisputed first choice in goal for the Blues for the last ten seasons, but now faces the challenge of a superb goalkeeping prospect in Courtois, who returns to Stamford Bridge after spending the last three years on loan with Atletico Madrid.

With the Belgian international set to get the nod over his more experienced counterpart, Cech seems unlikely to be content to sit on the bench for Chelsea, and looks set to attract interest from Real Madrid as they eye a new goalkeeper signing this summer.

The Spanish giants are known to be in the market for a new addition between the posts after a dip in form from Iker Casillas in recent times, though it had been suggested that Levante and Costa Rica shot-stopper Keylor Navas would be the man to come in.

Cech has also been linked with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain this summer following the return to Chelsea of Courtois, but it could now be that the Bernabeu will be his next destination.
