Arsenal have submitted a £26.3m bid for Brazilian striker Hulk, reports Football Express News.

The forward currently plies his trade in Russia for Zenit St. Petersburg, having moved to the rich side back in 2012 from Portuguese giants FC Porto for an extortionate fee.

While the 28-year-old has been relatively successful (scoring 33 goals in 65 games in all competitions) while being predominantly deployed on the right wing, rumours are rife that he’s eager to move to one of the biggest leagues in Europe, having never played in England, Germany, France, Italy or Spain.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger already splashed out £35m on Alexis Sanchez this summer, but apparently is keen on bolstering his attacking options further with the 41 cap international.

Hulk prides himself on his immense physicality, and his blistering left footed shot. He can be used on either wing, or up top – and would no doubt improve Arsenal’s chances of a first Premier League title since 2003/04.
