Liverpool are hoping to complete a double raid on La Liga before the end of the summer transfer window, with moves for Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno and Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Brendan Rodgers has already made a number of big signings this summer, bringing in the likes of Adam Lallana, Lazar Markovic and Dejan Lovren to improve his side’s depth in a number of areas, with plenty of money to spend after Luis Suarez’s £75m move to Barcelona.

However, the club’s spending is seemingly not over yet, with claims that a move for young left-back Moreno could be close to going through, with the Daily Mirror reporting that Suso will be moving in the opposite direction as part of the deal.

Elsewhere, Pepe Reina’s move to Bayern Munich looks to have persuaded Rodgers to sign another goalkeeper to compete with Simon Mignolet for the number one spot, with Madrid’s backup shot-stopper Lopez emerging as his top target, according to Spanish source El Confidencial.

Lopez has often competed with Iker Casillas for the number one spot at the Bernabeu, but both face an uncertain future at the club after the recent signing of impressive Costa Rica goalkeeper Keylor Navas from Levante.
