Liverpool are set to wrap up their deal for Spanish left back Alberto Moreno from Sevilla, report the Mirror, but only after he has turned out for the La Liga club in their UEFA Super Cup clash with Real Madrid.

The match is due to be played in Cardiff on Tuesday, with Sevilla facing Champions League winners Real on account of their Europa League triumph, and they want Moreno to turn out for them one more time before completing his move to Anfield.

If Liverpool can confirm a deal for Moreno it would be a happy to conclusion to what has been a protracted affair, with the move twice collapsing over disagreements about the potential fee for Moreno.

The report suggests that Liverpool are ready to pay an initial fee of £14m for the Spaniard, however, a fee that could represent good business for one of Europe’s most impressive young full backs.

With academy graduate Jon Flanagan having been played out of position last season, due to Jose Enrique unavailability, Rodgers will have the luxury of options at left back once Moreno becomes a part of his squad.

The final thing mentioned by the Mirror’s report is that Liverpool midfield Suso, who was on loan at Almeria last season, could also join Sevilla as part of the deal.
