King Power Stadium side want former Inter Milan star.
Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has confirmed his interest in signing free agent Esteban Cambiasso according to the Daily Star.
The 33 year old Argentine international left Inter Milan in the summer and had been strongly linked with a possible move to Tottenham but the move stalled, which could leave the way clear for the newly promoted Foxes side to pursue.
On the subject of a possible move for the midfielder Pearson stated;
“I am not going to say no, because we have [been interested],”
“We like to try to do business in the right way and make sure all parties’ interests are looked after for the right reason. But for some reason, some balloon head has decided to leak it.
“But what’s disappointing is that some clown somewhere down the line has leaked information that is sensitive.”
Cambiasso may be open to a Premier League move though one imagines that Leicester City would have to stump up a fairly hefty wage offer to land the former San Siro star.
The former River Plate and Real Madrid man left Inter when his contract expired in the summer and Cambiasso had proven a massive hit during his ten seasons in Italy, winning five Serie A titles and a Champions League winners medal among many honours.
