Crystal Palace look set to re-sign Man United winger Wilfried Zaha with the Old Trafford side ready to accept a £2m payment for a season long loan deal according to the Daily Express.

The 21 year old was handed just two Premier League sub appearances last term before he was farmed out to Cardiff City last term and doesn’t appear to feature prominently in Louis van Gaal’s plans and as such the England man may well jump at the chance of a move back to Selhurst Park.

Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United, QPR and West Ham are all thought to be interested in signing Zaha but a move to south London would almost certainly afford the Man United man the regular first team action he desires and could well lead to a permanent return if he impressed Eagles boss Tony Pulis.

Palace co-chairman Steve Parish has talked up the possibility of such a deal, stating;

“Manchester United are not quite sure what they’re doing with him so out of respect for them, it’s not for me to talk about that,”

“It’s up to the manager, the players we sign. It’s not up to me. I’m there to help him get the squad he wants.

“There’s a sentimental value and I loved Wilf as a kid and he did sensational things for us.

“I know the fans would like him back and that will play a part, but in the end the manager will decide what we do.”

Prior to his move to Man United Zaha racked up 143 appearances for Crystal Palace and was a key member of the club’s Premier League promotion squad.
