Rodgers admits there is still more business to be done.
Despite having already secured seven new players this summer Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says that he wants to conduct more transfer business before the window closes.
“We would still like to do some business,” Rodgers told the club’s official website.
“Across the board we still want to add a little bit more depth to what we have.”
So here is a five-man shortlist of the players that the Reds still have their eye on.
Marco Reus, Borussia Dortmund
This may be a long shot, but the future of the Germany international has been plunged into doubt due to his well documented release clause.
As Dortmund’s rivals Bayern Munich revealed, as of next summer Reus can be signed for just £19.8m and therefore he could be sold this year at a slightly higher fee than that.
Reus would serve as a great option to cushion the blow of losing Luis Suarez to FC Barcelona.
