Old Trafford boss Louis van Gaal is known to court the 27 year old Chilean and is thought to be readying a fresh £40m bid for the talented World Cup star.

Juventus insist that any prospective suitors have until Friday to make their moves with the Italian giants then looking to put to bed any speculation beyond that point so that they can prepare for their defence of their domestic title.

Van Gaal has already signed Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw and is said to be chasing Argentine international Marcos Rojo as well as a centre-back signing.

Vidal has played a pivotal role in Juventus’s three successive Serie A title triumphs but the Turin side’s inability to make an impact in the Champions League, coupled with Antonio Conte’s departure last month, may well leave the former Bayer Leverkusen man ready to consider a fresh challenge.
