Arsenal wonderkid Hector Bellerin has beaten his club’s all-time 40-metre sprint record, previously held by the likes of Theo Walcott and Thierry Henry.

The 19-year-old is a Spanish right-back, and narrowly beat Walcott’s time of 4.42 seconds, which the England international set in 2009, with a time of 4.39 s.

The club’s greatest ever player Henry had previously held the record, with a time of 4.82 s – set early on in his Gunners’ career following his move from Juventus in 1999.

Walcott confirmed the news, claiming he’d beat Henry in a sprint race between the pair nowadays!

“Thierry is in his 30s now so I would be very disappointed if I didn’t beat him. I beat his sprint record which Hector [Bellerin] has now broken!” he said.
