One of the biggest referring blunders the Premier League has ever seen took place back in March.
The laughable incident saw Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs shown a straight red card by referee Andre Marriner, after teammate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had denied Chelsea a goalscoring opportunity with his hand.
Oxlade-Chamberlain celebrated his 21st birthday on Friday and he received a congratulatory message from Jack Wilshere on Instagram.
Wilshere used the Ox’s birthday as an opportunity to poke fun at Mr Marriner.
He uploaded a the below picture of Gibbs, along with the message: “Happy birthday to my boy @alexoxchamberlain”.
