Reaction as van Gaal fields unknown youngsters.Manchester United have fielded something of a surprise lineup for Louis van Gaal’s first Premier League match in charge against Swansea City today.
The Red Devils welcome the Swans to Old Trafford for today’s early kick off to get the new season going, with Jesse Lingard and Tyler Blackett among the surprise new faces on show.
This perhaps highlights another disappointing transfer window from United, who have lost the likes of Ryan Giggs, Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra and brought in only Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw, with the latter currently out injured.
Twitter has been out in force with jokes and comments, with the season still only a few minutes old!
