Wenger has apparently seen a £5.5m bid for 19 year old midfielder Adrien Rabiot accepted with the French Under 21 international set to travel to north London to undergo a medical and could well become Arsenal’s fifth summer signing following the acquistions of Alexis Sanchez, Calum Chambers, Mathieu Debuchy and David Ospina.
Rabiot is considered one of the hottest prospects in French football but with just a year to run on his current deal it appears that the Ligue 1 side will look to cash in on the youngster over the possibility of losing the player on a free transfer.
Arsenal are also chasing Argentine attacker Ezequiel Lavezzi who could also be set for a summer exit after contract talks between the former Napoli man and PSG broke down.
Lavezzi has been a moderate success since moving to the French capital, helping the club to back to back Ligue 1 titles in his first two seasons at the club, scoring 14 goals in 49 domestic league fixtures.
The adaptable front-man can be used in either wide or central attacking roles and is said to be available for a fee of around £20m and would certainly offer Arsene Wenger alternatives in the final third.
