Liverpool have confirmed on social media that Tiago Ilori has joined Bordeaux on loan. The 21-year-old will spend the 2014-15 campaign with the French club after signing a season-long deal.
Former Sporting Lisbon centre-back Ilori spent last season on loan with Spanish side Granada, but made just nine league appearances.
The Portuguese youth international is yet to play in a Premier League for the Reds, and is behind Dejan Lovren, Martin Skrtel, Mamadou Sakho, Daniel Agger, Kolo Toure and Sebastian Coates in the club’s pecking order.
