Premier League champions Manchester City kicked off their new campaign with a fine victory away at Newcastle United, with goals from David Silva and Sergio Aguero securing the three points.
A fine backheel from Edin Dzeko sent Silva racing clear for the first, before a neat Aguero finish at the second attempt in injury time sealed the three points for Manuel Pellegrini and his side.
