Liverpool are reportedly ready to make a move for yet another striker as they prepare a £10m move for Anderlecht’s Aleksandar Mitrovic – who has been dubbed as the new Zlatan Ibrahimovic – according to the Metro.

The 19-year-old has apparently been watched by manager Brendan Rodgers and his team of scouts on numerous occasions over the past few months, and reports are now suggesting that the Anfield club are now ready to finally make their move.

Rodgers was convinced by the Serbian’s superb start to the Belgian season, in which he has scored three goals in Anderlecht’s opening four league games.

This is now the third time that the club have been linked with making a concrete move for a striker as deals for both Mario Balotelli and Samuel Eto’o both appear to be closing in on completion.

Mitrovic is a strong and technical striker, who had already snubbed one move to the Premier League when he knocked back a switch to Arsenal last summer.

He would cost Liverpool about £10million and could be loaned out to another Premier League team to continue his development.
