Chelsea star Fernando Torres is reportedly an AC Milan target as the San Siro side look to life after Mario Balotelli according to the Daily Mail.

24 year old Italian international Balotelli looks likely to join Liverpool and as such boss Filippo Inzaghi has drawn up a list of potential replacements, one of which is apparently faltering Spaniard Torres.

The Blues paid a British record fee of £50m for Torres back in January 2011 and it’s fair to say that the World Cup winner hasn’t come close to justifying that outlay and Chelsea may well accept a fraction of that fee today.

Torres has managed just 20 goals in 110 Premier League fixtures and the arrival of Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid is perhaps a clear sign that Jose Mourinho has no intention of handing the experienced former Liverpool man a regular first team berth.

Among other targets chased by AC Milan are Man United’s Javier Hernandez, Tottenham’s Roberto Soldado and FC Porto ace Jackson Martinez.

La Liga side Atletico Madrid are also said to be keen on the Stamford Bridge man.
