KC Stadium boss Steve Bruce has been tracking the 30 year old for some time and having believed the deal to be dead back in July it appears that a move is in the offing.

The former Nottingham Forest man has one year on his current contract and is said to be keen on remaining at the cub so as to earn a testimonial once he completed ten years service with the north London side.

White Hart Lane boss Mauricio Pochettino is in talks to sign Sevilla centre-back Federico Fazio, following failed attempted to sign his Argentinian Mateo Musacchio from Villarreal, a move that would certainly make Dawson’s sale all the more likely.

Dawson has made over 300 appearances for Tottenham and has been the club captain since 2012 but didn’t make Pochettino’s starting eleven for the club’s opening Premier League fixture with West Ham.

Hull have already completed successful Tottenham raid’s in recent transfer windows, signing Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore, and Steve Bruce continues to pursue Blackburn striker Jordan Rhodes.
