Wolfsburg midfielder Junior Malanda looked like he wanted the ground to open up and swallow him after this disastrous miss against German champions Bayern Munich.
The two Bundesliga clubs were playing in the opening fixture of the new league season on Friday night, and visiting Wolfsburg will have been devastated to have not left the Allianz Arena with a point.
Thomas Muller and Arjen Robben had Munich in control, but Ivica Olic pulled a goal back before Malanda’s horror miss saw the away side spurn a golden chance to equalize. Pep Guardiola’s side would win the game 2-1.
