Man United have reportedly agreed a £63.9m deal to sign Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria according to Sky Sports.
Speculation of a move to bring in the Argentine international to Old Trafford has been rife in recent days and by all accounts the deal has been concluded with other sources claiming that the number seven shirt has already been promised to the 26 year old Bernabeu star.

Man United failed to overcome Sunderland in Sunday’s 1-1 draw at the Stadium of Light and Louis van Gaal may well be unhappy with the lack of a cutting edge in the final third whilst the club’s owners may feel that a high-profile ‘Marquee’ signing would act as a statement of intent by a club who are looking to erase the memory of last term’s seventh place finish.

Ashley Young has failed to replicate his good pre-season form whilst Nani has been loaned out to Sporting Lisbon and as such di Maria’s arrival will certainly offer Man United a real shot in the arm in the wide-attacking area.
Di Maria finished last term as Real Madrid’s leading assist maker, providing 22 in all competitions, but the arrival of James Rodriguez from AS Monaco has seemingly led to the La Liga side being open to offers for the former Benfica man.
Man United have brought in Ander Herrera, Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo thus far but a move to bring in di Maria would represent the biggest of the summer thus far, indeed the biggest in the Premier League during this transfer window.
