Everton are considering a move to sign Man United forward Danny Welbeck according to the Daily Express.

Goodison Park boss Roberto Martinez invested a club record £28m in new signing Romelu Lukaku but could be in the market for another striker signing and appears to see Old Trafford star Welbeck as an option.

On the subject of late transfer window activity the Spaniard stated;

“While the window is open we are looking at anyone who can help us”

23 year old England man Welbeck has been told by manager Louis van Gaal that he can leave this summer and there will be no shortage of offers for the Man United man.

Last term proved Welbeck’s most prolific to date with the adaptable attacker netting nine goals in 15 Premier League starts before playing a prominent role in Roy Hodgson’s 2014 World Cup set-up.

A move to Everton could provide Welbeck with regular first team football though one wonders just how much Man United would demand for the player and therefore how much the Merseyside club can afford to fork out given their capture of Lukaku.

Welbeck is adept at filling wide and central attacking roles and has the potential to make an impact at Everton.
