Chelsea have reportedly agreed a £10m deal to sell Fernando Torres to AC Milan according to the Metro.

The 30 year old has proven a massive flop since his £50m move to Stamford Bridge from Liverpool back in 2011 and has agreed a two year contract with the San Siro side.

The Rossoneri are looking to replace Mario Balotelli, who moved to Liverpool earlier this week, and the Spanish international’s agent has confirmed talks between the relevant parties have been a success.

‘The meeting has been positive. Torres at Milan is a possibility,’ said agent Antonio Sanz.

‘We will take time to reflect before giving an answer. Milan are a great side.’

Jose Mourinho has brought in Diego Costa and Didier Drogba to boost his attack but did also see Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba leave and with question marks over the length of time Costa will be out with a muscle injury it’s entirely plausible that the Blues boss could pull the plug on any deal that sees another striker exit this summer.

Torres has managed just 20 goals in 110 Premier League appearances and a move away from the west London club is perhaps best for all concerned.
