Liverpool will look to sell as many as five of their stars before the transfer window slams shut on Monday, with manager Brendan Rodgers expecting several outgoing moves in the coming days.
After signing nine players this summer, Rodgers is desperate to be rid of a handful of fringe players who are unlikely to play a role in the first-team, despite the Reds playing in four competitions this year.
The Daily Mirror believes that striker Fabio Borini and winger Oussama Assaidi are at the top of the Anfield exit list, with the Sunderland and Stoke targets both well down the pecking order.
Both the players are well known to the clubs after they spent time on-loan at the respective teams last season, and both have been told they can leave according to Rodgers.
The Anfield supremo told The Times: “There will probably be more movement out than coming in. Every player here knows the situation, so if they’re here after that deadline on Monday, they have decided to stay but their game time will be very limited.”
Daniel Agger has already left the club, completing a move to Brondby earlier today, while other players linked with moves away from the club include Suso (AC Milan), Sebastian Coates (Sunderland) and Lucas (Napoli).
