Manchester United drew 0-0 with Burnley to maintain their awful start to the season, with new manager Louis van Gaal now having gone four games without a win.
The Red Devils handed a debut to record signing Angel Di Maria at Turf Moor, but even some class touches from the former Real Madrid star weren’t enough to give United the quality needed to beat the newly-promoted side.
United’s record for the season now reads Played 4, Won 0, Drawn 2, Lost 2, with this latest disappointment coming after a real shock in the Capital One Cup this week as van Gaal’s side were thrashed 4-0 by League One side MK Dons.
As ever, Twitter has been hilariously cruel in its assessment of this United team in crisis.
Burnley will be disappointed with that…going to have to beat the teams around them if they’re going to stay up. #mufc #twitterclarets

Silly to think van Gaal won’t turn things around in due course but that doesn’t make this any less funny.
