The Daily Star claims that the Old Trafford side are set to sign Dutch national team pair Nigel de Jong and Daley Blind.
Van Gaal is close to completing a £16m deal to bring in versatile Ajax star Blind, a medical has been scheduled and personal terms have been agreed and the 24 year old will certainly provide options in a number of roles.
Blind can play across the back and is also very effective in a defensive midfield berth.

Man United have started the season poorly with van Gaal’s side collecting just two points from three matches against Swansea City, Sunderland and Burnley and as such it’s perhaps no surprise that they are seeking further summer deals before the deadline on Monday evening.
