Man United have officially completed the deal to sign Ajax star Daley Blind in a deal said to be worth £13.8m.
The versatile Dutch international becomes Louis van Gaal’s fifth summer signing following the acquisitions of Luke Shaw, Ander Herrera, Marcos Rojo and Angel di Maria and brings the club’s spending to over £140m.

24 year old Blind can play across the back and is also effective in a defensive midfield role and is a player van Gaal knows well from his time in charge of the Dutch national team.
Blind has helped Ajax to four successive Eredivisie titles and made 120 appearances for his hometown side and was named the Dutch footballer of the year for 2014.
Louis van Gaal has seen his Man United side start the season in sluggish style, collecting just two points from their opening three Premier League fixtures whilst also suffering an embarrassing 4-0 defeat to League One side MK Dons.
