Hull City are in talks to sign out of favour Newcastle United winger Hatem Ben Arfa according to the Daily Mail.

The French winger doesn’t appear to have much of a future at St James’ Park and looks set to make an initial loan move to the KC Stadium.

The 27 year old hasn’t featured in Alan Pardew’s plans at all this season and a move away may suit all concerned and Steve Bruce has already proven very successful in the transfer deadline day dealings.

Hull City have today confirmed the signings of Palermo forward Abel Hernandez, for a club record fee, and West Ham enforcer Mohamed Diame.

Newcastle United paid Marseille £2m for Ben Arfa back in January 2011, after an initial loan deal, and though the talented flair player has occasionally shown what he is capable of on the whole he’s proven something of a disappointment.

Ben Arfa has made 86 appearances for the Magpies, scoring 13 goals for the club.
