Liverpool have reportedly accepted a £10m bid from QPR for forward Fabio Borini according to the Metro.

The Italian international had appeared to be set for a permanent move to Sunderland, following a loan spell last season, but that move fell through and it seems the former AS Roma man will instead move to Loftus Road.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp has just banked £10.5m from the sale of Loic Remy to Chelsea and has sought to use those funds to bring in Borini, who is way down the Liverpool striking pecking order with the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli all ahead of the 23 year old.

Liverpool signed Borini in July 2012 but he failed to impress in his first season on Merseyside, scoring just twice in 20 appearances, before being sent to the Stadium of Light.

Borini played a key role in Gus Poyet’s great escape last season and also played his part in the Black Cats run to the Capital One Cup final, netting 10 goals in all competitions.
