Colombian forward Radamel Falcao will be handed the number nine shirt at Man United after agreeing to move to Old Trafford on a season long loan deal according to the Daily Star.
The 28 year old South American is set to jet in to complete a medical and follows in the foot-steps of Andy Cole, Dimitar Berbatov and Louis Saha as the club’s number nine.
Falcao has proven a massive success since moving to Europe, scoring 142 goals in four seasons with FC Porto and Atletico Madrid, before pitching up at the Stade Louis II last summer.
Louis van Gaal will look to the powerful marksman to help his side get their season on track after securing a paltry two points from their opening three Premier League fixtures.
