Crystal Palace have officially announced their signing of veteran striker Andy Johnson.

The 33 year old free agent has been brought in by new boss Neil Warnock on an initial short term deal that runs until January having been released by QPR in July.

Johnson has had his fair share of injury concerns but will be a popular signing among Eagles fans following his previous spell at the South London club.

Andy Johnson spent four seasons at Selhurt Park between 2002 2006, scoring 85 goals in 160 appearances, before moving to Everton in an £8.6m deal.
