CM – Jordan Henderson
With Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard having both retired in recent times Henderson needs to step up and bring his excellent form for Liverpool to the international stage.

Alongside the 24-year-old we expect to see Wilshere, who many pundits are saying needs to start living up to the expectations that were first put upon him when he broke into the Gunners team.

Sterling appears to have picked up where he left off in 2013/14 this time around, scoring twice in the Premier League already and is regarded by many as the best teenager in world football.
LM – Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Although hardly an inspiring choice the workmanlike style of Milner may be what Hodgson requires in a tough match with the Swiss and therefore he could be tried out in this encounter.
