Real Madrid are preparing the groundwork ahead of a double Chelsea raid next summer as Bernabeu president Florentino Perez looks to usher in additions that continue the club’s latest raft of Galatico signings.

CaughtOffside understands that the La Liga side are ready to mount an opening bid of €120m (£96m) for Belgian attacker Eden Hazard and Brazilian midfielder Oscar which they hope will act as an indication of their interest which in turn Real Madrid will hope leads the Blues stars to consider such a switch.

Stamford Bridge boss Jose Mourinho would be loathed to lose two of his top performers, especially to his former employers, and will fight tooth and nail to retain their services. Similarly Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will have no interest in accepting such a deal though the fear may be that players in question may force a move.

The likelihood of either Oscar or Hazard pushing to make the move to the Spanish capital would perhaps be increased if Chelsea failed to secure a Premier or Champions League triumph this season, following last term’s silverware-less campaign.

Perez is keen to plan for the long term and sees 23 year old wide-man Hazard as an ideal replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, with the Portuguese international strongly linked with a possible return to Man United.

Hazard has proven a very consistent performer since his £32m move from Lille to Chelsea two years ago but has had his run-ins with Mourinho in the past.

Last term the Chelsea manager responded to Hazard’s comments relating to his side’s tactical approach to taking on Atletico Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals by questioning the wide-mans work ethic.

Hazard finished last season as Chelsea’s leading assist maker and top goal-scorer and is a player who apparently also interests PSG.

Oscar has become a key performer in Mourinho’s first team set-up and has already racked up 113 appearances for the west London club since his £19m move from Internacional in July 2012.

The cultured midfielder is a player Carlo Ancelotti is known to court and fits in well to Perez’s long term vision for Real Madrid.

Oscar is a fixture in the Brazilian national team set-up, with 40 caps to his name.

Though such a bid would be hard for Chelsea to ignore there is no doubting that Mourinho and Abramovich would fight to keep hold of arguably their two most bankable assets next summer.
