The 28-year-old moved to Old Trafford on transfer deadline day in a spectacular season long loan move from AS Monaco.

Falcao could make his United debut in the clubs Premier League match against QPR this weekend which, according to the striker, could be the start of a title challenge from the Red Devils even though they have failed to win their first three matches of the season.

“[My target is] to score goals and win titles,” Falcao told FourFourTwo.

“The aim this season is to win the title. It is important for me to help my club and Colombia as we prepare for the Copa America and the next World Cup for 2018.

“The Premier League is the best league in the world. The best players are there and you get to challenge yourself each week against the best.

“That is important for a player, like myself, who is looking to improve, score more goals and win trophies. This is a great opportunity for me.”

The former Atletico Madrid man also revealed that he is excited at the prospect of working with Louis van Gaal.

“We all saw at the World Cup that Van Gaal is one of the best managers in the world,” he added.

Falcao isn’t the only player who could make his debut on Sunday with Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind also in line to make appearances against QPR.
