Man United have collected just two points from their opening three top tier fixtures but the Dutch boss doesn’t feel this will prevent a full-on assault to reach the summit, stating;

Yes. It’s always possible because we still have to play a lot of matches.

“We are not that far behind.”

Man United are set to hand debuts to new signings Radamel Falcao, Marcos Rojo and Daley Bling as they host QPR in what Louis van Gaal will hope will result in the club’s first Premier League win of the season.

On the subject of having to pick and choose between his top attacking stars, resulting in some top quality talents having to warm the bench, van Gaal seems unperturbed, adding;

“For a coach it’s always easy because he decides what he sees and has observed.

“I’m a coach who does that. I don’t have any worries because I have done it for 25 years.

“You always want to buy the best players for the positions you need, and we have done very well in the transfer market, in spite of not playing in the Champions League.

“Players are coming to Manchester United and now we have to produce results and start our season.”

Van Gaal has a host of attacking talents to pick from with Falcao joining Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie, Angel Di Maria, Juan Mata and Adnan Januzaj in his ranks and one wonders just who will get the nod against QPR and for the remainder of the campaign.
