The league season’s first Madrid derby takes place on Saturday and Madrid will be pleased to welcome Ronaldo back after a niggling injury in his back. The attacker had a knee injury last season but Ancelotti clarified that this was unrelated and that Ronaldo doesn’t suffer any chronic injuries.
He said: “Cristiano is fully fit, he’s been training very well these last few weeks , his physocal condition is optimial. He’s where he should be.
“Cristiano doesn’t have a chronic injury. He had a problem last year with his knee cap from which he is fully recovered. He had a little problem this year with lower back and hip bone. But there is no chronic injury.”
