Manchester United Manager Louis Van Gaal Wants Even More From Di Maria After Stunning QPR Display

Van Gaal believes that di Maria can get even better after man of the match display.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal expects the club’s record signing Angel di Maria to get even better, report the Daily Star, despite the winger’s virtuoso performance this afternoon helping the Red Devils to a thumping 4-0 victory over a miserable Queens Park Rangers side at Old Trafford.

Van Gaal put in a man of the match performance for van Gaal as the Dutchman switched to a more conventional back four system against newly promoted Rangers, playing in a nominal central midfield position but roaming to find space at will in the spaces left by QPR and exploiting them with some fine creative work, bagging a goal and an assist to kick start his Old Trafford career.

The most striking aspect of di Maria’s performance was the pace that he injected into a United side that had previously looked to be quite pedestrian, particularly in the draw at Burnley, but a di Maria who was flying changed the whole outlook for the United side.

Despite this display, however, manager van Gaal believes that there is more to come, both from his team as a whole and the stunning di Maria:

“There are things we can improve upon, even Di Maria.”

This is sure to be a concern for the rest of the Premier League, with United having been extremely impressive in the ease at which they dispatched QPR.
