The play-maker has been offered a deal worth £200,000 a week plus performance related bonuses. This would make him the highest paid player in the clubs history, beating the amount that Cesc Fabregas currently makes, which is £200,000 a week in total.

The no.10 has started all four games for Chelsea this season and is set to tie up his new deal some time in the next few weeks.
