Lack of action at Sevilla may hand Toffees chance to welcome Spaniard back to Goodison Park.
Everton are reportedly keeping tabs on former loanee Gerard Deulofeu with the Barcelona attacker apparently unhappy with the lack of opportunities he’s garnered during his temporary spell at Sevilla.
The Metro claim Toffees boss Roberto Martinez is open to the possiblility of bringing the 20 year old back to Goodison Park in January, a move that would certainly please the club’s supporters.
Deulofeu made 29 appearances for Everton last term and made a real impact as the Merseyside outfit came close to securing a Champions League spot.
This season the Spanish international has managed just 17 minutes of La Liga action and that lack of playing time renders his loan move as somewhat pointless.
Barcelona will be looking to give the youngster some much needed experience before a probable plan to usher him into the first team set-up at the Nou Camp and a move back to Everton may be considered a better option than leaving the player at Sevilla.
