Four Premier League clubs on alert for Porto star.Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea have all been alerted to the superb showing of Porto attacking midfielder Yacine Brahimi, after he scored a hat-trick in the Champions League last night.
The 24-year-old is a summer signing from La Liga outfit Granada, and looks to have settled in brilliantly at his new club, catching the eye in Europe’s top club competition with a superb treble on his debut in the competition.
Liverpool and United are believed to be the main clubs interested in the Algerian international, with both sides still looking to strengthen in midfield when the transfer window re-opens in January.
Signed for only £5m by Porto this summer, Brahimi looks like the latest player who could be sold at a big profit by the Portuguese giants, who have a reputation for nurturing some of the world’s best talent after bringing them in on the cheap.
Brahimi could now command an asking price of around £15m, which still looks like a bargain for this truly superb talent, who could also surely attract strong interest from Arsenal and Chelsea as they take notice of his excellent goalscoring exploits.
Porto already lost some big names over the summer, with Eliaquim Mangala and Fernando both joining Manchester City, while Colombian pair Jackson Martinez and Juan Fernando Quintero also continue to attract interest from bigger clubs.
