The Premier League champions almost lost the former Barcelona midfielder during the summer, with various reports that he had become unhappy with life at the Etihad Stadium and that he felt undervalued by the club.

Toure’s recent performances suggest he is not mentally right at City, and it has now emerged that the club would be willing to let the 31-year-old leave for the right price in the near future.

Having scored a highly impressive 24 goals from midfield last season, Toure remains a top class talent and one who could still shine as one of the world’s best players if he regains his best form, meaning he would still command an asking price of around £30m.

Juventus are facing a possible exodus of midfielders in the near future, with key duo Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba on the radars of a number of top European clubs, and Toure would make a fine like-for-like replacement for either player in the middle of the park.

The Italian giants signed Carlos Tevez from City last summer and are keen to continue bringing in big names as they look to win a fourth straight Serie A title and make some progress in the Champions League.

Toure may welcome a move abroad and a chance to make a fresh start after hitting difficult times in Manchester, though Real Madrid are also thought to be monitoring his situation.
