The 27 year old former Fulham man has started just one Premier League fixture this term and could be interested in a fresh challenge if he feels he is not a crucial part of Mauricio Pocettino’s plans.

Roberto Martinez is said to have made enquiries about Dembele’s availability over the summer and will make a fresh move in January with Tottenham sure to demand far less than the £15m they paid for the Belgian two years ago.

Dembele combines the qualities of a strong tackling midfield presence whilst also being able to push the play forwards and is a real threat in the final third.

The presence of national team colleagues Romelu Lukaku and Kevin Mirallas at Everton may be a motivating factor when considering a move to the Merseyside outfit.
