Tony Cascarino thinks United’s summer signings have made them a force again.
Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino thinks Manchester United will rival Chelsea and Manchester City for the Premier League title, the Daily Star reports.

The Red Devils spent nearly £150 million on new players during the summer with world class stars like Angel Maria and Radamel Falcao moving to Old Trafford and according to Cascarino, it is United’s expensive new arrivals that will help them compete for another Premier League title.
He said: “I think that they will be the main contenders to Chelsea and City.
“I feel that they have goals in their team.
“Years ago, Sir Alex Ferguson had a side full of goals with the likes of Andy Cole, Dwight Yorke, Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. They were strikers that could change games.
“He also had pace in the wide areas. And in the 4-0 win over QPR last week, Di Maria basically changed the game.
“He was sensational all afternoon. He was the difference. His first intent is to get on the ball and run at people. United haven’t had this for a long time.”
Despite the huge sum of money that United have spent this season, they have started the season poorly, losing their most recent match against Leicester City 5-3, suggesting that while they have lots of attacking talent, United still need some defensive reinforcements to truly compete for the title.
